    Area Sales Manager Requisition ID : 1707873  Description    

    Required to spearhead the growth of an ambitious Artificial Lift company Middle Eastern sector. The role will develop the sales pipeline to maximise the regional and global offering of NOV. Based in Kuwait you will be required to develop relationships and strategically map the market to allow the growth of the business in Kuwait. Success will hinge on the strategic and tactical insight of the individual and their ability to affect the alignment of NOV resource to satisfy the market needs. Backed by a supportive team the role will be demanding as the incumbent builds the business in the region in accordance with NOVs strategic objectives.

     


     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    1.       Lead in the development of broad sales, bid and marketing strategies

    2.       Generate contracts with new and existing customers

    3.       Establish relationships with key accounts

    4.       Actively promote NOV products/services

    5.       Present recommendations to penetrate new and existing markets

    6.       Assist in the alignment of products, services and operations to deliver on customer challenges

    7.       Present a high level of technical understanding of product lines

    8.       Monitor bid and proposal activity to achieve conversion rate KPIs

    9.       Complete regular and detailed sales reports and submit as directed

    10.    Maintain CRM records and activities

    11.    Regular travel within Middle East to fulfill responsibilities

    12.    Willing to be based in Kuwait

    13.    Drive and support local agents

    14.    Achieve NOV products inclusion on local AVLs

    15.    Ensure proposal meet technical requirements

    16.    Represent NOV in bid clarification meetings

    Qualifications:


     

    Experience:


    ·        Experience in a similar position

    ·        Working knowledge of Oil and Gas Artificial Lift

    ·        Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)

    ·        Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills

    ·        Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan & prioritize to various deadlines

    -Responsibility for supporting corporate and customers HSE policies and procedures
    -Retains sales forecast and responsibiltiy for the Sales Strategy development to achieve plan. Candidate is expected to continuously strive to drive the development of sales plans to support adding value and developing customer intimacy.
    -First line responsibility for recruiting and managing local sales staff.
    -Effectively manages the customers in a fashion that results in ongoing improvements in Company's DSO's.
    - Assist in developing and strives to implement business plans established for operations.
    - Maintains a strong working relationship with key personnel with key accounts. Candidate will use these relationships to: support sales and services initiatives, benchmark and monitor Sales Group performance, develop new and innovative ideas. 
    Position Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree, advanced degree preferred
    Level of experience required 
    5 to 10 years

    Specific language skills required  Ability to write simple correspondence.   Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
    Ability to create and manage effective manpower utilization programs.  Ability to create presentations in EXCEL and PPT to effectively communicate.
